What do you put on your toast? Beans? Egg? Cheese? Anything goes, just don't burn it!
This fun, sturdy, toast-shaped board book is a playful introduction to the things we eat. Filled with bright, beautiful illustrations and the perfect size for little hands, Toast is a wonderful companion to weaning or for young chefs exploring new flavours.
Yu Akinaga's gorgeous pictures, created from paper cuts, introduce 11 international toast toppings and the characters that choose them. The mice family choose ooey-gooey cheese, but the alien prefers avocado, all creamy and green. There's even a cheeky bite taken out of the final slice! Who did that?!
With its novelty shape, fun illustrations, simple language and tasty toppings, Toast is a delicious treat for any baby or toddler. AGES: 0 to 3 AUTHOR: Yu Akinaga is an illustrator and children's book author based in Tokyo. She is excited by the magical moments scattered through our daily lives that stimulate our playful spirit.
